Group Accommodation in Snowdonia

Snowdon Lodge is large 17th century Welsh stone house which is available for exclusive hire to groups of up to 35 people. Famous as the birthplace of Lawrence of Arabia, this grade 2 listed character building provides ideal group accommodation in Snowdonia. Set in the village of Tremadog, the house is perfect for a family reunion or as a base for a group of friends, to explore the outdoor activities of Snowdonia and the beaches and villages on the Llyn Peninsula. The house is central heated and has a woodburner in the large lounge. There is free broadband WiFi throughout the building. The ten bedrooms are different sizes with twins, doubles and family rooms sleeping five or six people. There are wash basins in most rooms and plenty of hot showers and toilets. The large fully equipped self-catering kitchen leads into a dining room decorated with Lawrence of Arabia memorabilia and seating up to 38 people. There are two TV rooms and the large lounge has a wood burner ideal for cozy evenings in winter. There is a very large private car park around the property ideal for activities, barbecues and outdoor dining in the summer.  You can enjoy extensive woodland walks directly from the grounds. Other facilities include a drying room and storage for bikes, canoes, surfboards and kites.  Access is provided via a key code making it easy to give all your group access to the house at any time.

Snowdon Lodge has a fabulous location close to the mountains of Snowdonia (6 miles from Mount Snowdon) yet only 2 miles from the coast at Black Rock Sands with easy access to the many beaches of the Llyn Peninsula. Tremadog village centre is only 200m from Snowdon Lodge. It has two pubs The Golden Fleece and The Union Inn, a restaurant (The Square), fish and chip shop and a Spar village shop. Less the half a mile away is the seaside town of Porthmadog with supermarkets, independent shops, harbour and railway. Bedroom layout.  There are 3 twin rooms and 3 double rooms. One room sleeping 6 people in bunks and one sleeping 5 people in bunks. There are two further rooms sleeping 5 people in bunks and these include one double bed in each room, so can occupy up to 6 people.

Snowdon Lodge welcomes all types of groups from those who wants to just chill out in comfort for a few days, to those who want to participate in the wide choice of activities available. The Lodge is perfect for families and friends looking for group accommodation in Snowdonia.  It has provided warm comfortable accommodation for many different types of groups over the years. Walking clubs, climbing groups, dance groups, triathlon groups and cycling groups have all enjoyed staying at Snowdon Lodge. Business team building weekends have taken place here for the armed forces, teachers and school groups.  Snowdon Lodge has also been used a a base for university field trips, bird watching weekends and artist and photographer courses.
