The following terms and conditions apply in respect of Snowdon Lodge:
Making Your Booking
Booking
of 1-6 people
A deposit to the full value of the first night's accommodation must
accompany all bookings either via post, e-mail, fax or verbal over
the telephone. Payment can be made by cheque or credit/debit card.
All balances must be paid in full on arrival.
Booking of 7+ people
A deposit to the full value of the first night's accommodation must
accompany all bookings either via post, e-mail, fax or verbal over
the telephone. Payment can be made by cheque or credit/debit card.
All balances must be paid in full 28 days before arrival.
If Snowdon Lodge provides food (breakfasts, packed lunches or dinners)
Snowdon Lodge must be informed by phone, fax, e-mail or post of any
special dietary requirements in relation to your booking.
The Booking Contract
The booking contract is complete when your booking confirmation is
given via the telephone, e-mail, fax or post and the deposit (value
of the first night's accommodation) is collected.
Cancelling Your Booking
If you wish to cancel your booking you must notify Snowdon Lodge via
phone in the first instance. All verbal cancellation must be followed
up by a written notification.
Cancellation Periods & Charges
Booking of 1-6 people
Cancellations made more than 7 days before arrival date: Deposits
paid for the first nights accommodation will be refunded. An
administration charge of £5.00 applies.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival date: No refunds
will be given on deposits paid for the first nights accommodation.
Booking of 7+ people
Cancellations made more than 28 days before arrival date: Deposits
paid for the first nights accommodation will be refunded. An
administration charge of £2.00 applies.
Cancellations made less than 28 days before arrival date: No refunds
will be given on deposits paid for the first nights accommodation.
Bank Holiday Bookings
All Bank Holiday bookings are treated as bookings with 7+ people,
regardless of the actual number of people in the party.
Price Alteration
We reserve the right to alter the cost to allow for any variation
in:
transportation, including fuel costs
duties, taxes (e.g., VAT rate change)
Not withstanding the above we will not increase the price less than
28 days before arrival. We will not pass on the first 2% of the first
permitted price variation. Should the price increase significantly
beyond the contractual price we will advise as soon as we can in order
that you can decide whether you wish to withdraw without penalty.
Prices listed are held until 31st December 2004.
Complaints
In the unlikely event of any complaints relevant to any aspect of
the services provided by Snowdon Lodge, these should in the first
instance be made as soon as possible to the Snowdon Lodge Management.
If you make a complaint upon return from your stay it must be made
in writing to Snowdon Lodge within 10 days of return.
Rights of Refusal
Snowdon Lodge reserve the unconditional right to terminate a booking
in the event of unreasonable conduct which in our opinion is likely
to cause distress, damage, danger or annoyance to other customers,
employees, property or to any third party. This includes any participant
who fails to advise us of a serious medical condition or disability
or if part of a Stag or Hen group. If you are prevented from continuing
your stay as a result of termination our responsibility for your stay
thereupon ceases. Full cancellation charges will apply and we will
be under no obligation whatsoever for any refund, compensation or
loss you may incur.
Medical Conditions
Please inform Snowdon Lodge if you have any medical condition, which
may possibly affect your stay.
Cancellation by Snowdon Lodge
In the unlikely event of a cancellation by Snowdon Lodge, all monies
paid by you will be refunded to you. No administration charge applies.
Compensation payments do not apply to changes caused by reasons of
war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial
disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, technical problems or
similar events beyond our control.
Liability
Snowdon Lodge will not be liable to compensate you for any damage
or loss of enjoyment in respect of your Holiday if the failure in
the enjoyment was your fault, or could not have been reasonably foreseen
or avoided Snowdon Lodge or if the failure in your arrangements was
the result of the actions of someone unconnected with
your arrangements. Snowdon Lodges liability to compensate you
for any damage or loss (including both direct and indirect loss of
enjoyment) will not in any event be greater than the price paid by
you for the stay. If you suffer death or personal injury Snowdon Lodge
will only be liable to compensate you if the death or personal injury
is a
result of Snowdon Lodge negligence.
Holiday
Participation
By accepting these terms and conditions you agree to accept the authority
and decisions of the hostel Management.

(Part II - Package Bookings)

The following terms and conditions apply in respect of Snowdon Lodge
and all its activity and logistic suppliers when package bookings
are made.
Definition
of a "package" : Snowdon Lodge supplies any 2 or more of
the following: Accommodation on a full and/or half-board basis, activities
of any sort and/or transport.
Making
Your Booking
A deposit of 50% of the full value of the quoted and agreed package
price must accompany all bookings made either via post, e-mail, fax
or verbal over the telephone. Payment can be made by cheque, BACS
or credit/debit card. All balances must be paid in full 28 days before
arrival.
If Snowdon
Lodge provides food (breakfasts, packed lunches or dinners) Snowdon
Lodge must be informed at least 5 days prior to arrival by phone,
fax, e-mail or post of any special dietary requirements in relation
to your booking.
The Booking
Contract
The booking contract is complete when your booking confirmation is
given via the telephone, e-mail, fax or post. A "reservation"
becomes a "booking" on the day the deposit payment is cleared
in the Snowdon Lodge bank account. Until such day, no reservation
can be classed as a booking.
Cancelling
Your Booking
If you wish to cancel your booking you must notify Snowdon Lodge via
phone in the first instance. All verbal cancellation must be followed
up by a written notification.
Cancellation

paid (50% of the full value of the quoted and agreed package price)
will refunded. An administration charge of £10.00 applies.
Cancellations made less than 28 days before arrival date: No refunds
will be given on either deposits and/or full value of the package
price.
We advise you to take out an appropriate insurance against cancellation.
Any local insurance company or broker can be contacted to obtain relevant
information.
