How to get to Snowdon Lodge from Cardiff

By Car:-
Route 1:-
From Cardiff A470 (north). Across Junction 32 of the M4 follow A470 for Merthyr Tydfil, Brecon, Buith Wells, Llangurig, Dolgellau through to Porthmadog all on the A470. Drive over the "cob", which has a 5 pence toll most days. Carry on through Porthmadog straight at a roundabout, over a railway level crossing and follow the road for 1/2 a mile out of town until you come to the next village sign of Tremadog and we are the first house on the right opposite the sign, with the entrance to the carpark on the right hand side of the house. 160 miles. Drive time: 4- 41/2 hours depending on traffic. Please stick to speed limits for reasons of health and also the police have many speed cameras on all roads in Wales.

Route 2:-
From Cardiff A470 (north). Carry on through Porthmadog straight at a roundabout, over a railway level crossing and follow the road for 1/2 a mile out of town until you come to the next village sign of Tremadog and we are the first house on the right opposite the sign, with the entrance to the carpark on the right hand side of the house. From Cardiff to Porthmadog are 3 samples of times but please check with train operator using the links below.

Sample 1. Cardiff Central 9:44 Express Alphaline Service, change at Shrewsbury 11:28 11:34 Express Alphaline Service, make sure you check which end of the train to sit as it splits and the rear carriage's are the ones coming here. Arrive Porthmadog 14:24

Ones off the train at Porthmadog Station walk to the main road approx. 20 meter's and turn LEFT (North), walk out of Porthmadog town for approx. 600 metre's and we are the first house of the village on the right hand side opposite the Tremadog town sign and large 4 pillard church chapel.

A National Express coach service:-
Depart 10:50, Arrive 19:57, Journey time 9hrs 7min 1 change (Bus No. 322 Cardiff to Birmingham Arrive:13:20 Depart:14:00 Nat. Express Bus No. 545 Birmingham to
Tremadog square, 150 metres from our front door on the same side of the road, just past the spire church).
Tremadog-Cardiff:-
Depart 08:33 Arrive 17:31, Journey time 8hrs 58min, 1 change (Bus No. 545 Tremadog square to Birmingham Arrive:14:30 Depart:15:00, Nat. Express Bus 322 Birmingham to Cardiff .
Trawscambria Daily 701 service:-
Depart Cardiff Bus Station 08.55 arrive Porthmadog Park 15.40, Journey time 7hrs 45 min, Bus no. 701 with no change, If you ask the driver nicely he may drop you at our place in Tremadog as he passes us on his way from Porthmadog.
If you have to walk go through Porthmadog town in the same direction the bus was going, go straight at a roundabout over Porthmadog railway lines and follow the road for 600 meter's until you get to Tremadog village and we are the first house on the right.
