How to get to Snowdon Lodge from Ireland

By Ferry or Hovercraft:-
The closest port is Holyhead, on Anglesey. Then take a train, coach or drive down to Bangor and follow map from there.

By Car:-
You can bring your car over on a ferry from Ireland and then follow the maps to Snowdon Lodge. The closest port is Holyhead, on Anglesey.
Follow A55 expressway all the way to Bangor. Come of the A55 at the Caernarfon sign and follow A487 road to Caernarfon, stay on the A487 through Caernarfon and follow signs for Porthmadog, until you come to the village sign of Tremadog. Approx 300 metres into the village you will come to the Madoc pub on the left take the right turn signed for Porthmadog, pass the Spar shop and church on the left and we are the last house on the left just past a small left kink in the road, with the entrance to the carpark on the right hand side of the house. Click for map page. Approx distance 125 miles, drive time: 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 hours depending on traffic. Please stick to speed limits for reasons of health and also the police have many speed cameras on all roads in Wales.

By the train:-
From Holyhead catch train to Bangor (check schedules).
Then take the local bus service from Bangor to Tremadog/ Porthmadog.
Numbers 1 and 2 for local service (BWS GWYNEDD).
Numbers 380 and 545 for National Express.
Number 701 Trawscambria.
Contact the National Rail Enquiries service by phone (+44 345 484950). It is advisable that visitors make seat reservations for train journeys from airports and ferry ports, or when intending to travel during the busiest holiday periods.

By coach:-

A National Express coach service, number 545 from Bangor leaves at 18.55 which goes to Tremadog square arrive Tremadog square 19.57, only 150 meter's from our front door. In summer it's necessary to get the bus tickets in advance.
